Alpine Skiing
Men's giant slalom: Thomas Grandi, Canmore, finished 12th in a final field of 57; Jean-Philippe Roy, Ste-Flavie, did not finish second run after placing 26th in the first.
Cross-Country Skiing
Women's 20-km relay: Jaime Fortier and Milaine Theriault, both Canmore, Sara Renner, Golden, and Beckie Scott, Vermilion, finished eighth in a field of 13.
Curling
Women: Skip Kelley Law and her Richmond, B.C., team of third Julie Skinner, second Georgina Wheatcraft and lead Diane Nelson won bronze medal, defeating U.S. 9-5.
Figure Skating
Women's singles: Jennifer Robinson, Wiudsor, finished seventh in a final field of 24.
Hockey
Women: Canada won gold medal with a 3-2 decision over the U.S. finishing with a 5-0 record, while outscoring opponents 35-5.
