Women's combined: Genevieve Simard, Val-Morin, Que., finished seventh in a final field of 28; Sara-Maude Boucher, Quebec City, was 10th.
Cross-Country Skiing
Men's pursuit: Donald Farley, Lorraine, did not start.
Curling
Men: Kevin Martin lost 6-5 in an extra end to Sweden in sixth draw, putting Canada's round-robin record at 4-1.
Women: Kelley Law and her Richmond, B.C., team moved to a 5-0 record with 9-4 sixth-draw win over Britain.
Figure Skating
Men: Elvis Stojko, Richmond Hill, finished eighth in free program and eighth in final total in a field of 28.
Snowboarding
Men's parallel giant slalom: Jerome Sylvestre, Bromont, Que., finished sixth in a field of 32 qualifiers, advanced; Mark Fawecett, Rothesay, N.C., was 17th, eliminated; Ryan Wedding, Coquitlam, B.C., placed 24th, eliminated; Jasey-Jay Anderson, Mont-Tremblant, Que., was 29th, eliminated.
Speed Skating

Women's 500: Catriona Le May Doan, Saskatoon, won gold medal; Susan Auch, Calgary, was 21st in a final field of 31.
