Men's singles: Kyle Connelly, Calgary, was 11th after two runs in a field of 49; Tyler Seitz, Calgary, placed 15th overall; Chris Moffat, Calgary, was 17th.
Snowboarding
Women's halfpipe: Natasza Zurek, Vancouver, finished 15th in qualifying, eliminated.

Women's 3,000: Cindy Klassen, Winnipeg, won bronze medal, Canada's first of 2002; Kristina Groves, Ottawa, finished eighth of 32 finalists; Clara Hughes, Winnipeg, was 10th.
