Created in 1939, Snowbasin is one of the oldest continuously-running ski areas in the United States. The downhill course for the games was designed by Bernard Russi, a 1972 Olympic gold medalist.

The Snowbasin is located in Ogden, Utah, just north of Salt Lake City. It features the Strawberry and Middlebowl gondolas, the John Paul Quad and the Olympic Tram.
