The 2002 Winter Olympics will begin and end at Rice-Eccles Stadium.
Originally known as Rice Stadium, the venue is located at the University
of Utah Campus. The stadium was first built in 1927, but underwent a $50
million renovation in 1997.
Over 44,500 spectators will watch the opening and closing ceremonies in
Rice-Eccles Stadium, while millions more watch on televisions around the
world.
