Kim St-Pierre was brilliant in the gold medal game last season at the world championships. She stopped 33 shots to help Canada to a 3-2 win over the United States and was named the tournament's top goaltender.
She plays for McGill University where she studies kinesiology and led the school last season to the bronze at the CIAU championships. She was also named the top goalie at the 2001 nationals as Quebec lost in the final to Alberta. Her father Andre played for Omaha in the Central League.
