Tammy Lee Shewchuk completed a brilliant four-year career at Harvard University in Boston. She became Harvard's all-time leading scorer earning her 258th point on January 7, 2001. In her first season, she set school rookie records for goals and points. Then in 1998-99 she broke the NCAA single season goal record with 52, leading Harvard to the national title.
As a youngster she broke a lot of ground. She was the first female non-goaltender to play at Quebec City's International Pee-Wee tournament. She was also the first female player on her teams from atom to midget.
Shewchuk has played on Canada's last two world championship squads.
