Arne Dankers is the young gun on an otherwise experienced Canadian long track speed skating team. Dankers is qualified to race the 10,000 metres at the Olympics. The electrical engineering student was third three years ago in the 3,000 at the world junior championships. Last season his best international result was a 29th place in the 5,000 at a World Cup event in Calgary.
