Bruce Bennett Studios
 Position: Goaltender
 NHL Club: Dallas Stars
 Date of Birth: 4/21/65
 Birthplace: Carmen, MB
 Height: 5'11"
 Weight: 192 lbs

THE SKINNY:
Got a big endorsement from Ken Hitchcock, his coach with the Stars, who recommended he get the job over Phoenix netminder Sean Burke. The Team Canada hierarchy agreed... Hasn't had that great year (which of the Team Canada goaltenders has?), but when he's on his game, he's one of the best... Won the Stanley Cup with the Stars in 1999... Spent the 1989-90 season with Canada's national team... Seemed destined to be the third goaltender in Salt Lake, the same role he had on the 1991 Canada Cup team... Can be a tempermental sort and must be willing to accept a supporting player role. Team Canada can't afford to have him as a distraction... Signed as a free agent by the Chicago Blackhawks in 1987...

FAMOUS FOR:
Big money goalie

INFAMOUS FOR:
Billion dollar bribe.

SHOOTOUT POTENTIAL:
Has stopped 4/6 NHL penalty shots.
