Shea wins gold in men's skeleton
 PARK CITY, Utah (AP) -- Jimmy Shea is certain his grandfather was along for the ride of his life.
 After tucking his grandfather's funeral card inside his helmet, Shea won the gold medal in skeleton Wednesday by somehow making up time as he hurtled headfirst down the icy track to claim a piece of family and Olympic history.

Americans go 1-2 in women's skeleton
 PARK CITY, Utah (AP) -- The gold medal went to a local hero. The silver to an American one.
 Women's skeleton couldn't have ended more fittingly -- a 1-2 star-spangled finish that came just moments after Jimmy Shea's emotional gold-medal ride down the snow-covered track.

Greek skeleton racer loses appeal
 PARK CITY, Utah (AP) -- New York City paramedic Michael Voudouris lost his appeal to use a sled that has a painting of the World Trade Center towers for his Olympic skeleton race, and said Tuesday he's having fun with the sled he borrowed.
 Officials from the International Bobsled Federation and International Olympic Committee rejected his request, citing an IOC rule that bans "political, religious or racial propaganda" in Olympic competition areas.
