Taiwanese Olympic bobsledder hurt
STOCKTON, Iowa (AP) -- A member of the Taiwanese bobsledding team was in critical condition Wednesday after an auto accident.
Chia-chan Steven Lee, 33, who lives in Lake Forest, Ill., was the passenger in a car driven by Samuel Hwang, 28, of LaPorte, Ind.

Hays, Shimer end medal drought for U.S. team
PARK CITY, Utah (AP) -- Don't faint, Todd Hays. Dry those tears, Brian Shimer. It's over.
The Americans ended nearly a half-century of Olympic frustration for the U.S. men's bobsled team, driving to the silver and bronze medals in the four-man race Saturday.

British bobsledder hit in helmet by stone
PARK CITY, Utah (CP) -- It's tough enough going down the Olympic bobsleigh course at the best of times.
It's even harder when someone throws a stone at your sled.
The second British sled repeated its second run Friday after driver Lee Johnston complained a stone had been thrown at him. Johnston, a Royal Marine Commando, said the stone had smashed into his visor as he drove down the Utah Olympic Park track at more than 125 km/h.
