Both Russians who beat out Scott have tested positive
MONTREAL (CP) -- The Canadian Olympic Committee said Wednesday that the International Ski Federation has confirmed a positive test for blood doping by cross-country skier Larissa Lazutina of Russia, which could hand an Olympic silver medal to Beckie Scott of Vermilion, Alta.
The COA said in a release that the FIS found Lazutina tested positive for blood doping at World Cup races last Dec. 8 and 22. The FIS said the A sample was confirmed as positive in mid-April and the B sample backed up that finding on May 7.
