Richard Duncan is Canada's most versatile jumper. He'll compete in the
long jump at the 2000 Games just as he did in 1996 when he placed 36th. At
the 1996 nationals he placed second in all three jump events- long jump,
high jump and triple jump. He did the high jump and triple jump at the 1994
Commonwealth Games At the University of Texas, he was the 1996 long jump
champion, an eight-time All American and the first to claim All-America
honours in the long, triple and high jumps at the same meet. He graduated
in 1997 with a bachelor of science in kinesiology and plans to become a
chiropractor.
