 Montréal's Jessica Chase knows the hardships faced by amateur athletes and one of her ambitions is to one day help athletes manage their finances. Chase, 22, became involved in synchro at age 11 travelling 90-minutes from her Montréal suburb home to train everyday. She moved to Etobicoke in February 1998 and qualified as a member of Synchro Canada's Centre of Excellence team. The two-time national champion has been a member of Canada's team at every major event since the 1997 FINA World Cup. Outside the pool she is interested in various arts and is interested in pursuing a career in bathing suit design when she retires from synchro. She is also the team's prankster.
