Catcher Lesley Attwell began playing baseball at the age of eight with a
boys team. Her softball successes include junior national championships in
1993 and 1994, as well as being a member of the first Simon Fraser
University team to qualify for the NAIA Nationals. She appeared at the
1998 World Championships in Japan when Canada qualified for the Olympics in
her first year with the national team. Outside of softball, Attwell is a
physical education and science teacher at Maple Ridge Secondary in Maple
Ridge, B.C. She also enjoys basketball, tennis, and scuba diving.
